Research reveals 1 in 8 have financial concerns
Concerns over debt and other financial issues are leading some people to neglect their loved ones, a new report has suggested.
The study by Scottish Widows revealed that one in eight people believe sorting out their finances is their top priority, which may interest those seeking debt consolidation loans or advice.
It revealed that despite this, 52 per cent of people would rather have their partner as a top priority, while 36 per cent said they worry about neglecting relationships with loved ones.
Alison Morris, savings expert at Scottish Widows, said: "In the run up to Valentine's Day when romance is likely to be on people's minds, it is time for the nation to start putting their relationships first, and other concerns such as money worries second.
"By looking ahead and planning their finances now, people can spend more time focusing on the important things in life such as their loved ones."
Recent figures from Credit Action revealed that levels of personal debt in the UK reached £1.4 billion during December.
