People are currently hunting for bargains, says expert
The current credit crunch means more and more people are looking on the internet for bargains to satisfy their shopping needs, an expert in the sector has claimed.
Simon Crisp, director of online consumer guide Shopsafe, said the web is currently seeing an increase in those searching for ways to save money and grab a cut-price item.
One of the biggest trends is using discount codes and vouchers, which are often available on dedicated websites and can enable shoppers to obtain discounts of ten or 15 per cent.
"People are just looking for bargains and for deals and online is the place to get it," Mr Crisp said.
"They're looking to squeeze every penny out of their budget."
Those needing to keep a tight hold on their finances in the coming months may want to consider other ways to effectively manage their money, including products such as a personal loan, which can help by combining existing repayments into one monthly sum.
