Act quick to get your festive finances in order, consumers told
Consumers are being urged to act quickly if they are to secure affordable loans ahead of the Christmas period.
With the traditional festive shopping frenzy approaching Britons will be counting their cash as they look to ensure they can make ends meet through personal loans, unsecured loans, bad credit loans or other means.
However, with many tending to take a last-minute approach to their financial situation - with 17 per cent opting to put it all on the credit card according to a recent Moneynet.co.uk survey - people are being advised to plan early and efficiently to get the most out of lenders.
Andrew Hagger, a spokesperson for Moneynet.co.uk, said there were "a couple of options", but stressed that getting finances organised early was the key.
Research by Paypal suggests that one other avenue shoppers will be pursuing this year in a bid to cut expenditure is buying their presents online.
Despite the postal strikes in recent weeks, Paypal says almost 27 million people in Britain will be using the web to do their Christmas shopping this year.
